Val Nzhie, Board Member and Director of Development.
Val Nzhie is the Vice-President, Capital Raising and Investors Relations at Bervann Capital. Val is a citizen of Cameroon, residing in New York; currently on assignment to launch the company’s office in Greenwich, Connecticut. At 19 years old, after his father passed away, Val had to work to pay for College; the driven young man signed a partnership with a local movie theatre and launched the FMM “Friday Movie Mass”, a weekly rendezvous where thousands of college students in Yaoundé would gather to watch a package of 3 movies at a unique price. Local businesses and social organizations would then use that platform to communicate with the youth. At 21 years old, Val signed another partnership with a local music company, and ran a national tour in the cities of Bamenda, Bafoussam, Douala and Yaoundé promoting artists, while encouraging them to use their celebrity status to raise awareness on social issues. At 25 years old, Val co-founded an educational marketing company that assisted thousands of local students from Cameroon to study in reputable colleges and universities in Europe and North America, with the #DaringGoal to return home, help build and develop Africa. At 30 years old, Val partnered with a US firm and moved to New York to launch a Connect company that facilitates young professionals’ integration in the challenging New York City through access to housing, new technology and getting plugged within a community; in 6 years, the company has assisted over 9,000 young professionals from all over the US + Oversea countries. As a natural outcome, Val serves as Chairman of the MYP – Manhattan Young Professionals. In 2013, Val founded a NYC Real Estate Investment firm serving as liaison platform between private Investors and Property owners; a successful venture that led him to land the most recent position of Vice-President, Capital Raising and Investors Relations at Bervann Capital. He recently joined the Organizing Committee of the US Investments & Partnerships Forum 2018, a Private International event set to attract thousands of Executives from 100 countries, to discuss tangible business collaborations. Feeling beyond blessed at 36 years old, Val is dedicating his free time, his professional platform and available resources to work towards #Giving Back to bring opportunities to under privileged areas in Africa and around the world. His devotion and commitment to Bervann Foundation’s Vision and Mission are Limitless.
